I need a Tuning Control IC for this TV and I don't
like the Daewoo's price ($25.68 with shipping) .
Is there any other source of these? It is a Toshiba
TMP47C434N-3119.

Actually, the price isn't that bad if it were only a
one-time replacement, but this is the second failure. The chip gets
temperature sensitive and then the remote control functions don't work
properly. I don't think I'll be able to keep it cool enough in the
summer using just a fan.

There's no other option because it's a special programmed microprocessor IC.
$25 is cheap for a microprocessor. I've seen them as high as $100.

Well, I was able to find at least one other source:

The total cost including shipping is $24.00, $1.68
less than when ordering from Daewoo.
