Go to your local library and look up a copy of the ARRL Handbook. Copy the
formulea for receiving antennea from the book and have at it. Just a matter of cutting specific lengths of wire, supporting that wire properly, and connecting it via transmission line to your receiver. Of course you will then need to know what direction the local tele trensmitters are from your location to aim the antenea at it for strongest signal. Your best and must reliable way for an indoor antenna is to purchase a set
of rabbit ears for the TV set. These attic antenna installations are usually not very good for the cost and time put in to them. You have to get above the roof line of the building. Rain and snow on the roof will attenuate the signal a bit. If there is a lot of metal used in the construction of the roof, this will effect reception. Other buildings near by may also attenuate the signal a bit. In the end, cable or satellite services are more worth than putting up an antenna. After a few years they get corrosion, and sometimes fall down. The end expense for the service you get makes cable a better option over the long run. This has been proven many times over. -- Greetings, Jerry Greenberg GLG Technologies GLG ========================================= WebPage http://www.zoom-one.com Electronics http://www.zoom-one.com/electron.htm ========================================= "Ben" wrote in message ... looking for a do it yourself indoor tv antenna design ben --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
