It has been many years since I have serviced these, to the point that it is
hard for me to remember much. But, what I can recall is that I had to change capacitors in these that went high in ESR. This was more of the faults than anything else, as long as the mechanics were good. I have a trashed portable tape recorder that I rescued from the junk bin at an estate sale. I'm looking for manuals, schematics, any information I can find about this thing at all--I haven't been able to find anyone in portland who's interested in even looking at it to see what's wrong with it. It's a solid machine, it has multiple inputs and outputs, adjustable recording levels for each channel--it seems like if it were repaired, it would make a super durable portable tape player. the model number is CD-330. I'm guessing it was made 25-30 years ago, just by the looks of it, the brand is Superscope, but it notes on the label: 'designed by Marantz, USA.' Thanks--Alex |
