Default AKAI GX-75 Biasing problem

Hello everybody,

does someone meet similar problem like that:
in a CALIBRATE MODE You can not adjust Bias value as much as is necessary
(value is too small). "Level" is OK and it is adjustable. Does problem lie
in the magnetic head?

I have tried readjust semi pots inside the deck, clean heads, demagnetize
heads, adjust tape path, azimuth etc, deck works just a little better, but
not as good as it could and with too small bias.

Best regards.

Robert

Shot in the dark, but are you using the correct tape for the bias setting
(switch).
