Compaq monitor mv700 horizontal size issue
Hello,
I have a 17" mv700 with a picture that increases in size horizontally. It seemed at first to happen when the signal cable was moved in any way. Upon further inspection I discovered a slight tap on the case would also make the horizontal size jump (between normal and too large). I read somewhere that a bad signal cable would cause this but I also read that these monitors are prone to bad solder connections. I have the case removed, the crt discharged (screwdriver and wire clip to cable trick) and have double checked that the caps are discharged. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, -Mac Post or email, either is fine. Please remove "nospam" from address to email. |
