Hi,
I couldn't find any defective parts so I downloaded data info (.PDF) on this "replacement" (Fox International says) and compared it to the data (.PDF) I downloaded on the original part. It turned out, it is the WRONG part. I called TCE and was told that "266908" is the correct part number. Note: Fox International's research department is unreliable. If I repair this TV, I will post an "UPDATE:...." in Subject. Brad On Tue, 25 Mar 2008 17:22:01 GMT, in sci.electronics.repair you wrote: Hi, I have a RCA TV model 14F512T, ch M123SP (NO Schematic) in my TV service shop with a vertical deflection problem. I replaced R409 1 ohm which was open (in -12.6 source) and I replaced the vertical IC "IC301". Note: both +12.6 and -12.6 source (measured at source) are present, but still no vertical deflection. Horizonal line is abt. 3/4 down from top of screen. When I open the -12V circuit, in effect removing -12V source, the horizontal line is a little above the middle. Yoke test revealed yoke is not shorted or open. I tested several parts around "IC301". Has anyone repaired this (or similar) model TV with this problem? Thanks in advance, Brad Before you type your password, credit card number, etc., be sure there is no active keystroke logger (spyware) in your PC. |
