Default help identify component

Hello,
this looks like a japanese transistor (same case of the 2sd973 for
example), marked as N1215 '95 ('95 could be a date code).
Can anyone help me identifying it? Looks like open circuit.
Thanks in advance

Usually when written like this, there is an implied '2' in front, ie

2N1215.

jak

If 1995 unlikely Ge 2N1215
Could it be a Russian Cyrillic "N" ?
Definitely low power transistor casing ? eg 1A

definitely low power, looks like japanese, all other components in the
car radio are japanese.
Might be a RN1215 but I wasn't able to find a datasheet to confirm.

Thanks

If the case style is the flattish one with a chamfer face at the top , it
was a popular style for Russian made transistors. Can there be a worn off
character before the N ?

the case is identical to the one in the following datasheet:

http://www.ortodoxism.ro/datasheets/...nic/2SD973.pdf

And no, no possible other characters, the case is clean, the marking
very sharp and the code begins right on the edge of the case. There's
a dot under the N, not sure if it helps.
I can also send a picture if it helps.
Regards

How about a UN1215? It has an internal 10K base resistor.

Thats presumably the one.
Now does Panasonic/Matsu****a use the dot code for other dropped letters on
SMD/small items, say MN.... ?
