Default Oooh, that smell

I have a piece of gear, a high power relay test set, with a large
power transformer on it which was smoked by its bonehead owner. He's
lucky that it melted the solder out of the secondary before it caught on
fire. I'm on the clock, so don't have time to tear it down and scrub it
out. Can anyone suggest a quick way to abate the stink? I remember back
in the tube TV days, when burnt power transformers were pretty common,
someone was selling a spray can of some sort of deodorant for just that
purpose.
