Jurb:
Sorry about the 'typos' hand, eye dis-functional at times!!
Doing a little bit more research it seems that anything that loads down
the data or clock lines may indicate a #17 error, more specifically a load
on the specific data line.
No cut an dry method, need to determine which line is being loaded or what
device may be swamping the signal. Good scope signal tracing may, by
comparing known good data xfer Vs questionable ones. Time comsuming, etc.
Been there! Eventually you may find a specific ic, seperate component, or
even conductive mounting glue causing the load. Good Luck.
