Filling deep scratches and gouges on CRT front glass
Greetings:
In several archived threads of this NG, auto windshield fillter material has been suggested to repair deep scratches and gouges on CRT front glass; has anyone done this successfully, as in reducing the distortion and shadowing from the scratches to tolerable levels? What brand names of filler material have been tried? Has anyone ever obtained the Novus brand material which on the TV commercials at least, appears to fill deep dings very well? Please, no lectures about CRT safety ;-) Regards, Michael |
