Default High-end repairs

Talking to a friend the other day revealed that fixing high-end TVs is about
50/50, due to the lack of support from the manufacturers. It's not a
technical issue, it's about obtaining parts and schematics.

Just curious.

Have you folks who earn a living fixing stuff like HDTV's find that to be
true?
