Default KSS-213B pickup changed

I changed a KSS-213B pickup in an aiwa CD player. the old one would pickup
CDs sometimes, but most of the time it wouldnt, and the CDs it did pick up
it would only play a track real noisy before loosing out.

So I changed the pickup, but the new one dont work at all. i read somewhere
there was some kind of anti-static thing on it, but i dotn see where.

any ideas?
