I am working on a Zenith TV that has a shutdown problem. I have
changed the STR53041, 22ufd x63 volt capacitor. All diodes etc have
checked ok on curve tracer and there is 130 vdc on the collector of
the hot. The transistor checks ok. The flyback ringtest is good. When
I attempt to turn it on it energises briefly and shuts down with
(sometimes a pop in the speaker).
Is anyone familair with this set and associated problems? It has a
manufacture date of June 1992.
