this AV reciever is giving me intermitent video problems. both S-vhs & Composite.
gets Real bright and tearing on ANY video source, cable, vcr, dvd etc.

If this occurs when playing discs using the Panasonics' built-in dvd player
(don't know if your model has one) then it's going to be a circuit problem,
and may not even be economically feasible to repair.

If you are playing an external video source through the receiver, you may be
encountering problems with "Macrovision" copy protection in the source
material.
