RCA Projection, & DLP screen problems.
I'm seeing a number of newer 52" rear projection moldel # D52W19,
& DLP model # D50LPW134 units with bad screens. It seems, there is a problem in between the lenticular, & freshnel screens, where marks just start appearing inside the two screens, on both types of screens. After opening them up, (they are taped together), I find marks like something has leaked in between them, but obviously this isn't the case. These marks just appear over time from sunlight, cigarette smoke, or just from a flaw in the screens themselves...maybe touching together makes it happen. I can't clean away these marks, no matter what I try. Also, I'm finding new screens from our Canadian supplier, have marks on them as well. Anyone else find this happening? What's your best method of cleaning these screens, when they have smoke, etc marks on them? Thanks, Dani. |

Thanks Kip for the info, but I can't locate anything on the Thomson
BBN site. Anyone know about this recall? Thanks, Dani. Dani wrote: I'm seeing a number of newer 52" rear projection moldel # D52W19, & DLP model # D50LPW134 units with bad screens.
