Default Northgate 7NSS LCD Monitor

This little booger was working perfectly until its host computer was
turned off to replace the CD-ROM drive. When everything was set back
up, it didn't display. You power it on and you see a flicker of black
display and then nothing. The green light is on, indicating that it is
receiving a video signal. If you un-plug the VGA connection and then
plug it back in, for a moment you get a perfect picture of the screen,
but only for a moment. A few elusive milliseconds. So, the signal
gets through and it does work, to some degree of time. There are no
loose connections inside. Any ideas? I appreciate it, thanks!

Oh yeah, and it's definitely not the cable.

BdG:
Hold a light up near the front of the screen. If you can see the
picture,
you probably have a backlight problem. Usually the inverter board is
bad
and is not supplying the high-voltage AC required by the backlight
lamps.
Sometimes they can be repaired, but they are available on the WEB.
Check the small SMD fuse on the board and make sure that you are
getting 12VDC to the board. Check for bad electrolytic capacitors.
Hope this helps...
John
