i got philips gogear hdd 2GB 17/70 mp3 player as a gift. i installed
the sotware and everything and the mp3 player wokred awesome. it
transferred the files and played music well. But today, after i
trnasferred some music file, the player started blinking and so, i
turned it off and tried to turn it on, but it didn't work. So, i
plugged the charger in and the player turned on but with a white screen
only. i ouldn't do anything. and when i take the charger off, the
player shuts down.

what is the problem and how could it be solved?

If it's still under warranty, take it back. Even if you manage to get
it working again, there could be something wrong with it.

If not, then I would look for some way to reset it. There may be a
hidden button, or a button combination that will reset it. Next, I
would try disconnecting the battery and leaving it over night. Beyond
that, there is probably no simple fix.
