Anyone finding bad CRT sockets with green corrossion inside
the socket causing arcing? Seems common,even on rebuilt
boards from global in Mississsauga, Ontario. Also, CRT burn-in
at shutdown. SSI board causing this?

Had a couple like this. Works ok, but squeals, like oscillations. Model

# SXPW850, some of them have the S53AMi module, that can't be ordered,
but JVC have an expensive replacement complete module. Anyone
rebuilding these modules, or using something in place of the S53AMi

Not this one, the G1 is automatically pulled negative. trace it out,
you may find one or two components open or shorted. Fixed CTC211 with
this fault.

About corrosion, Just replace the CRT sockets.

Is that a huge black module slab with stange solder on one edge?
Exchange only or replace as whole.
