Well do like Mike says and check the LCD out. Also when you open the
camera up check out the flex that leads to the LCD (a high power
magnifier helps here) You're looking for corrosion and open traces and
as above bad solder joints.
I've had good luck swapping parts out of cameras I bought on eBay. An
A303 just went for $41.
