Default Chasis CTC171 Proscan PS60682 dead

This set will not turn on - no video, audio, fan. It makes a clicking
sound continously from the area of the HV. Before the set stopped
working the same clicking sound could be heard when the TV was
operating.

After disconnecting the HV anode, there was audio.

Any help in trying to fix this thing would be extremely appreciated.

Yea, "nasty beast" seems to be the consensus everywhere.

Have no idea how to fix this thing and am still looking for the
service manual.

Ahh well...
