Default Toshiba 48" Rear Projection TV Advice needed

I have a Toshiba rear projection TV ( model 48PJ6DB ) which i brought
back in 1997,
I have never had any problems with it until now.

I accidently left the TV on standby mode over night and in the
morning i went to turn the TV on forgetting that it was still in
standby mode ( instead i turn the TV off ).
when i turned the the TV back on nothing happened NO LED it was
completly dead,

Im not sure if the LED was lit up before i turned off the TV or
whether the TV died during the night,

Im no engineer but i would be grateful if anyone has any ideas on
what the fault could be as it wil help me decide if its cost effective
to get a tech in to repair it or not

thanks for any advice

thanks Kip for your advice on getting a tech in to look at it,

but i thought i might see if any of you guys out there that know your
stuff
might be able to give me some ideas on what the problem could be, for
example the Tranformer etc, or if anyone else out there has come
across this problem before and has had it repaired

before i pay a tech lots of money to give me an estimate, (nobody
does free estimates these days )

Lee ! You have to do some basic trouble shooting
first , nobody is going to tell you without more info.
