Toshiba DVD/video player model:SD-2710C,year:Oct 2001.Customer states
one day suddenly the audio disappeared when he brought it over the audio was present but about an hour through a movie the audio disappeared then when I stopped the dvd for 1 minute and then continued to play audio was restored. Upon quick searches for common repair tips from my repair tips links I found that the following parts are common failu C927=100 Uf,16v C928=100 Uf,16v (some say must be removed & not replaced per Toshiba service bulletin) C929=100 Uf,16v so I replaced the above parts which are located at the RCA audio output jacks and now no audio whatsoever so I decided to put in C928 and still no go.I also tried putting in another batch of caps incase the first new batch were bad but still no audio. Anyone have any common repair tips for me?.Thanks in advance. Sidney Dartmouth,Nova Scotia Canada |

Toshiba SDK-600 problem was shorted electrolytic bypasses on the - supply to
the audio op-amp. I have no idea if this has any bearing on your problem but thought that I'd mention it. I did post about it on this forum, a while back. |
