I recently read that the midterm election voter turn out of younger
people was down from 2008.. The reason, they were disenchanted with the
way things turned out.

Well gee, they weren't that smart 2 years ago. Must be the fact that
they were voting for a president, not house and senate candidates.

Cheers

That Harvard report is a good read... shows that there are _some_
young folks who understand you can't balance budgets by printing
money.

I think you're reading too much into a whole 2 students writing an
article that shows the budget breakdown and casually discusses how
difficult it is to cut spending.

They were interviewed on Fox (impressive), so maybe that biased my
read.

Jim, biased ????

Well that's very amusing but it's only the, so called, 'mainstream
media' that tries to perpetuate the myth of 'unbiased'.

Lamestream ;-)

Btw, in the Social Security section, the last thing you want is the
government investing SS funds in the stock market because, with such
huge sums of money, they can easily manipulate stocks and the market
itself. That's the *real* reason it was prohibited from doing so in
the first place.

Which is not privatizing SS. It's nationalizing the stock maket.

Nationalization, I.E. government ownership, is the 'communist' form of

'Democratic' socialism claims to be different because they're elected,
rather than a dictatorship, but both communism and fascism claim to be
agents of 'the people' and for 'the good of the people' too.

Both sides have a serious "cognitive dissonance," i.e., they're not sane.

Somehow, in their twisted little minds, they believe that sending 100,000
soldiers and marines half-way across the world to kill Muslims is "defense."

Thanks,
Rich

Why say it's not 'privatizing' when no one said it was?

Clinton did. His response to proposals for privatization was to suggest
this, and he called it privatizing.

I would expect Democrats to repeat that error at some point.

No, but it could have similar results.

Nationalization, I.E. government ownership, is the 'communist' form of
socialism. State 'control' of private enterprise is the fascist form.

But it would be ownership.
