Yea they make some nice high gain low Vcesat perfect for the job.
Either one of these will give you less then a schottky drop upto an
amp.

Of course, if you can get that proverbial PMOS with VT=0.7V, as I can
in ASIC's, you'd do this...

load... otherwise you'll burn out the PMOS :-)
