I stand corrected.
I took a look at one of those little bottles and it's 2.6 onces I don't
know what made me think it was 2 ounces. I need coffee... : )

Dear Rich,
Two ounces would make for 64:1 mixture, which is more lean than
anything
I've seen. Except for some new synthetic oils which run 100:1.
What is the source of your information?

Do good work.
It's longer in the short run
but shorter in the long run.

2 ounces 2 cycle engine oil to one gallon regular gasoline.
Well, I am looking at my bottle of Husky oil, and my owner's manual.
In the manual, it says to use 2.5 ounces per gallon for a 50:1 mix. The
bottles are 2.6 oz, so I guess 2.6 is just a safety factor. It says to
never use outboard two cycle oil. It does say to use higher than 87 octane.
Anyone have a Homelite manual that gives the mix?
Steve
