Just remember that dull objects (knives, etc.) create more pain than
sharp objects. More pain equals more screams equals a living scarecrow.

My imagination has been running amok. Mostly gravity actuated devices

Don't forget the Doberman Pinscher Breeders Association sign.

Problem is, most crooks cannot read, yet alone English. A good picture type
sign should do. A Doberman attached to the family jewels might do the
trick.
