Well, I spent today putting up 40' of fencing that was sitting on the table
when the thieves took what they took. I have been traveling for the last
month, and the project was in progress.

I have put the wife on notice that I will not engage in any other
remodeling, projects, or bull**** until I have MY area secured to MY
satisfaction. ( I was doing many other things other than what I needed to
do for Steve.)

I am paying attention to putting things away under lock and key, and
quitting 30 minutes before quitting time to do so.

I have declared "The Sanford Yard", as it has come to be known, as My
Domain, and not subject to the CC and R's usually required for the rest of
the house for any improvement/project instigated by me. (her projects have
no such srutinizing panel) Now, I don't ask, I don't tell, and I don't
CARE!

Ideas that I had to secure the area before this were trumped by Dearly
Beloved, and the results were predictable. Now, I have found a screen on
the house that was jimmied, but not able to get in. I will show her that,
and then she will be as incensed as I am, as now it has infringed on HER
sacred sanctuary. (Guys, take the hint. Do what you know needs to be done,
and just listen to the bitching.)

It has been a long day. I got a lot done. I have a lot more to do, about
80' more of block wall topping wrought iron fence. Two eight foot gates.
Extensions to existing fences/walls in other places. I am not fortifying,
just doing it right like it needed to be done from day one.

When I am done, I am going to put in some booby traps that will bring blood
and break bones. Anyone out there that ain't supposed to be there will just
have to cope.
