I have some small drywall patching to do in a bathroom where the
vanity countertop was removed. After patching i need to texture
(knockdown texture). It will only be a few ~ 3" X 6" areas. What's
the best way to put on small amounts of texture to match a knockdown
texture??
Try thinning the compound to the point where you can dip a coarse brush
and "flip" it...just hit the brush against your hand. Experiment for
thinness and distance. Once you get a decent coarse orange peel, use a
trowel to knock it down.
Does Home Depot or other places have texture in spray cans??
Yes. Expensive and not great.
