I have to go to Toronto for a couple of days next week. Anybody recommend
a
large tool store where I might see the Vicmar and/or Oneway lathes?

I don't know about stores where you can see lathes, other than to
suggest contacting Atlas Tool & Supply (downtown) to see what they
have in the sto 416-598-3553 (sorry, don't know if they have a
website or not.) For tools and other supplies, the various Lee Valley
stores are always worth a look, though. http://www.leevalley.com/
- there's a store at each end of the city.

Sorry I can't be more helpful - new to woodturning, so I don't know
all the local places (yet!)

Hope this helps.

I was at their store in March -- interesting place -- lots of odds and ends.

A couple more places to check out:

Busy Bee Tools http://www.busybeetools.com/
All-in-One Wood Tools http://www.allinonewood.com/

Have fun!
