Why not 22mm stainless pipe?

I'm sure you could, it's just that chromed copper pipe can be found even
in
DIY shops, rather than specialist metal merchants.

Well, my local Homebase stocks 22mm stainless pipe right next to the
copper.

Personally, I prefer chromed to stainless. It just seems to be smoother and
more mirror-like.
