My hearing is going and my arms are not long enough anymore..sigh...

Arms aren't long enough for what, reading or wrestlin' with Rosie?

Reading and fine detail work. I used to be able to pick out six points
of similarity on any of my fingerprints..while still on my
fingers..now Im having trouble focusing on my fingertips unless they
are at least 16" away..or more

Distance vision is still good, and can still use peep sights just
dandy, nor has it hurt my pistol shooting..but even soldering a board
needs reading glasses now. 1.25x from the dollar store work fine. At
the moment....

I'm in the trifocal "progressive" lenses. And thinking about getting a
set of reading 1/2 glasses to slip in front for reading mics and stuff.

You either love or hate those progressive lenses and
I'm definitely in the 'hate' class.

I have work glasses, hard bifocals with the top
good out to about 30' and in to about 2' feet,
the bottom bifocal lens is good from 1' to 2',
then I go to magnifying glass, loupe and stereo
microscope in that order.

I have night driving glasses that the opto made
as I directed, sweet spot at about 200 feet and
still crystal-clear at infinity with my eyes fully
dark-adapted. It was remarkable to go out at night
and see pinpoints for stars instead of blobs. The
opto is going to write a paper for a journal about
my night driving glasses.

But my arms are still good.
