I don't know about your comparative fuel costs. But I will go for
gas. Its clean burning, does not require an oil tank and the tanker
pulling up to deliver fuel oil. I've never seen a oil furnace but
from posts in this NG it appears to be high maintenance, pumps,
nozzles and what else?
