Hi Geoff
It has a charter, as do all ngs
I own/moderate several Yahoo Groups and if someone breaks the rules I can
remove them or moderate every post they make.
It may have a charter, but what about teeth?
If it's someone who is being a real arse, I'll make an abuse report to their
NSP and ISP. I've seen a couple of ids disappear after such a complaint so
it seems to work some of the time, depends who the service providers are
though but a succinct, polite complaint with message ids is usually met
with a helpful response. If it's commercial abuse of an affiliate link I'd fire
one off to the affiliate organisation too. The provider will usually want a link
to the charter of the group so they can confirm a post is abusive. In your
case maybe publish an AUP that you can refer to in any complaint you
make.
