Strange isn't it how all these sleazy (major) discredited (most tories)
foul mouthed
(Boris Johnson) yobs who lurk within the *Tory* party always manage to
creep back
in when the dust has settled. like archer (imprisoned, still a tory lord,
expelled but
'having served his sentence there's no legal reason why he can't rejoin')
and aitken
(also imprisoned) who would be 'welcomed back' but wisely doesn't want to
rejoin
or hamilton (convicted of corruption) who admittedly wasn't a party
member.

the last *tory* government had an *adulterous prime minister* 2 *jailed
ministers*,
one MP *convicted of corruption*

the list continues, I can't be bothered.

Actually, I happen to agree with you - they're all as bad as one another,
but it was not me who began the comments about 'nasty' people. I truly
despair when I see the general standard of people who put themselves up to
run the country. Even in this election, despite the recent revealing of
electoral fraud by Labour councillors, it appears that people are still at
it.

I'm quite happy to discuss the election on the basis of policies and
performance and, in my opinion, apart from the economy (the strength of
which is now in doubt and, in any case, is due almost entirely to the
stewardship of the BOE and *not* Gordon Brown) the country is in a far worse
mess than it was eight years ago. An awful lot of our problems in relation
to anti-social behaviour both in and out of schools is due purely to the
effects of marriage breakdown and working mothers - both heavily encouraged
by the Labour party both actively (working mothers) and indirectly
(taxation/benefit policies that militate against marriage). Anyone who
seriously thinks that our public services have seriously improved under
Labour are also sticking their heads in the sand. There have been some minor
improvements in some areas but nowhere near matching the vast amounts of
funding pumped in without any real attempt to reform the inefficiencies
rampant in the systems.
