4-5 ft. dia oak would make a nice kitchen chopping block or table top if you
have the woodworking tools. I've seen some coffee tables make out of large
tree stumps or trunks going for over $5,000 a while ago.

In any case, I use my auger for fence post holes and a spade bit with my
jackhammer for breaking out concrete or digging around tree roots. If you
were referring the wood boring spade bit then you need a drill to bore holes
in you tree stump.
