There was speculation about running a pipeline
from Lake Superior to restore water levels
in the Ogalalla Aquifer. ( Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa etc. )

At the very hint of the idea, some Minnesotans replied;
"You're not taking OUR water !"

But then, they were being assholes.....
