Default Anyone fitted fluid master push button toilet conversion kit

I haven't fitted a 'Fluidmaster Push Button' kit but I did fit a
'Fluidmaster low noise' kit. The push button one comprises of almost the
same components.

Was a doddle to fit.
Turned of mains water supply
Flushed toilet to drain existing cistern
Laid down old blankets and sheets to soak the majority of the water
still in cistern
Undid the plastic nut connecting the flush pipe to the cistern (don't
know the nuts technical name)
Gained one pair of wet trousers
Removed the innards of the cistern
Replaced with kit
Tightened plastic nut
Turned on mains water
Did a test flush
Turned down flush volume by adjusting stopper after water lept out of
the pan

Job done

I'd never messed with toilets and their workings before, would say the job
took less than 30 minutes.

Hope this helps.

The handles on our toilets keep working loose. Might be something to
do with the kids (2 & 4) yanking them up and down when they are trying
to flush the loo. I keep re-tightening the plastic nut, but a couple
of weeks later its loose again and the handle is flopping about.

I noticed a fluid master push button toilet conversion kit at Homebase
the other day and was wondering if they really are easy to fit. The
blurb on the box makes it look simple enough, but I was wondering if
anyone had done it and if they had any tips on possible problems.

TIA
