It can take a while, depending on the size of your storage tank. I've got an 8 gallon storage capacity, and it'll take a day and a half to fully charge the tanks. You're draining the brine? You know, these systems waste about 3-4 times the water that it filters for drinking purposes. You should do something with all that wasted water, like flush toilets, or laundry or something. HTH. Tom
