Radio Shack still has three. One will almost work but its collapsed
length would stick out past the edge of the case. Not ideal but I
suspect that's what I'll end up going with.

Also try Digi-Key. I think that is where I saw an extensive listing of
antennas.


Yup, but none of the good ol' telescoping rod style.

Have you looked for an exact replacement from the manufacturer? They might
have a US presence with an 800 number, where you can order replacement parts.


Good idea -- they might, although it's a 20-year old radio (ICF-2001).

Kind of surprised that there's not an "Antennas'R'Us" somewhere on the
internet. Maybe an idea for an entrepreneur...
