Not quite.


If there is a ground wire present, *and* it is properly connected to a proper
ground at its opposite end, then installing regular grounded outlets is a
simple solution to the problem. Just because there's a ground wire visible in
the box does *not* mean that the wire is actually grounded.


True enough. It seems unlikely that there would be a ground wire in
all the outlet boxes without them being grounded, but yes, it should
be checked. Preferrably by a different electrician than the one
the landlord sent around.
