False. Some do, some don't.

simply because they are connected to the metal conduit that the wires
are wrapped in. Hope you checked that. My house is a hundred years
old and the outlets are old two prong, but the box is grounded, so I
just put a 3 prong in and grounded to the box.

You can't ASSume that the box is grounded.
