First thing that comes to mind is Macrovision on prerecorded video tapes or
dvd movies. Does the tv do this on regular over the air programming?

Second thing that comes to mind is bad solder connections on the ground to
the flyback.

Third is a failure in the abl line.

Fourth is the set is due to have a few capacitors replaced due to age.

Since that set is very complex. it is highly recommended you have someone
with experience on Mitz sets from that era do the work.

Forget about the post about the manual controls, that tv doesnt have them
for user picture settings.
