(DAMHIKT). For the L I would use the cross bolt type connectors they
sell for joining countertops. Can't think of the exact name right now.

Are you talking about the connectors that are sunk into grooves under the
countertop (like a Mills Pride type countertop corner) or just the L shaped
flat brackets?
