Snowblower Brands
In article ,
says...
I have decided which features I need in a snowblower, but I am not
sure which brands to consider...
I will get a two stage with about 8 horsepower. There is a Craftsman
that I like, but I am not sure about durablility. Which brands would
you suggest?
I've had a Crapsman for ten years and have spent less than $150 on it
in that time (I don't work on it myself). The only problem I've had
was the auger belt slipping off (stretched) the pulleys and one year it
wouldn't start (choke flummoxed). Other than the above, it has always
stated on the first pull and I don't even drain the gas over the
summer.
That said, the only thing I don't like is its performance on heavy wet
snow. The impeller clogs far too easily. We don't get much wet snow,
so it's usually not much of a problem until April or May. Were I to buy
another I'd look for one with a better/smoother snow path.
