He has a point. There is no solar at night and less wind. Having
everyone charging at the same time isn't a good idea either. If we
replace ICEs with electrics we'll need a lot more generating capacity.
Everyone doing it at the same time will make things even worse.


Correct about solar and wind but it is of interest that TVA pumps back
water at night when electric use is low.

I was wandering around that plant while Tennessee was still digging a
hole in the ground. But yes, if a significant load is added during what
was off peak hours more generation capacity is needed.
