A single dose of a coronavirus vaccine can reduce household
transmission of the virus by up to half, a study shows.
Those given a first dose of either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca
vaccines - and who became infected three weeks later - were between
38% and 49% less likely to pass the virus on than unvaccinated
people, PHE found.
In the study, protection against Covid was seen from about 14 days
after vaccination, with similar levels of protection regardless of
age of cases or contacts, PHE said in a statement.

Another good reason to get the vaccine.
This sends a message to all of the antvaxxers.
**** the commie leftist maskhole nazicrats!
You actually think I'm going to voluntarily take a shot of
no-liability experimental gene therapy?
I'd not do that either but since the vaccine is not gene therapy I go
both shots. Don't let facts get in the way of your decision though.
I've had my two shots for months now. So has my whole family with
exception of 6 year old granddaughter. I think it is stupid not to
follow the science and the facts.
If you do not want to be vaccinated that is your choice and you can live
with the consequences.
Well said, Frank.
Once everyone is vaccinated who wants to be, why are we not "lettn ur
rip"?
Let Darwin decide who dies.
Because none of us wants to be on the wrong side of that decision.
The vaccine is not 100% effective. I don't want to find out I was one of the
5.9% for whom the Moderna vaccine is ineffective as I gasp my life away
in the ICU, just because I was slobbered on by some asshat who refused to be
vaccinated.
You must not have listened to the same propaganda as I did. They say
if you are vaccinated you are 95% protected against any infection at
all and virtually 100% protected from any serious outcome.
Now they are even saying the infection rate was overstated and your
chances are better than 95% that you won't be infected at all.
Then You personally have told us how other vaccines fail, yet we are
not losing all sense of reality about that. Polio and smallpox, two
you brought up are not pleasant diseases either.
You folks really need to pick a story and stick to it if you want us
to take you seriously
Some people (the immunocompromised, babies) cannot be vaccinated at all.

So you better take special precautions with your baby since there are
plenty of other diseases out there too. The truth be told, I am not
within 6 feet of babies or small children by personal choice.
I am not running for office and I have no interest in kissing your
baby.
