As regards simple illumination, perhaps not ideal. But as a pretty
unobtrusive lamp when not in use, very popular.


Surely the packaging quotes the "Lumens" and the "Beam Angle".

Flicker is often a problem with the 12v supply and underloading it can make
it worse.
