wanted for the operating system for the IBM computers.

This new Windows 10 is always updating putting more and
more junk on the computer that I do not want or need.

That's very arguable with the security updates and you can
turn the updates off if you want to, just a bit fiddly to do.

Other than the Office program I don;t
think that I use any programs by MS.

That and their OSs are their main products apart from their games consoles
etc.
