Here is a list including every state of Who is eligible for the vaccine.

It's dated Version 26: January 27, 2021, and doesn't indicate who was
eligible last week or next week, but it's probably accurate wrt the date
issued. (26 versions in only 2 or 3 months. I think the version
changes even when only one state changes who's eligible, and they update
it more than once a week.)

And if you search on the word years you see that some states say
over 65, some 75, some 70 and North Dakota for example only says
Long-term care facility residents and staff
First responders
Health workers in direct contact with COVID-19

Either ND has not updated Walgreens, or some central source that
Walgreens uses, or they are behind some other states. Who knows!

I could look on a ND site and find out, but no time now.
Walgreens say "The COVID-19 vaccine is on the way.
As pharmacy experts, this is what we train for. We're ready to deliver
vaccinations safely in accordance with state-specific eligibility
requirements."

And I'm sure they are since they gave me a flu shot. I had to ask her
her name though, it wasn't on her jacket. Of course i want to know her
name.

But this is the same message for the whole country,
and maybe Canada ;-) .

It doesn't say when they'll start, and I doubt they know when they will
start. They're 4 blocks away so it would be very convenient. They're
usually quiet but if they make it first come, first served, they won't
be. Maryland knows how to make appointments, but will drugstores?
Maybe.

And btw, Illinois is the only state that lists prisoners as being
eligible. Eventually that will change, at last at the very end.
Someone who really cares can use Find at the link above.

The huge mistakes here were the feds lowering the age to 65 and leaving
it at the discretion of the states as to what to do.

You said before that it was always at the discretion of the states,
which means they coudl have lowered it to 65 no matter what the feds
suggested.

. Most governors, eg
Cuomo, Murphy, DeSantis were stupid and just lowered it right to 65,
plus they included people under 65 that had pre-existing conditions like
high blood pressure, smoking, obesity, or just being overweight. In other
words they pretty much opened it up to everybody.

That's an unwarranted stretch. And no state or the CDC has a rule
that admits people who are "just...overweight". The standard is obese,
which is defined. For example, "A BMI of 25 to 29.9 is considered
overweight. A BMI of 30 and above is considered obese." And which can
very often be determined just by looking at someone.

That
lead to a totally predictable cluster f***, compounded by the fact that
despite having 9 months to get systems in place, few locations were
prepared with websites, phone banks, etc. The predictable results are

Yes, it's pretty impressive how unprepared they have been in many or
most states. Trump would see here only the word "impressive" and think
it was a success.

It also seems that in some rather prepared states, one is supposed to
sign up with the county, with a drugstore or 2 or 3, with your doctor's
medical practice, and with your insurance company, and wait to see who
calls or emails you first, an inconvenience to you, while to some extent
or other using up the resources of all the ones that don't contact you
first. For one thing, after people are called and they get their shot
and an appointment for the second one, most people won't, even if there
is a procedure and there might not be, bother to take their names off
the lists at the other places they've signed up. If things were done
just right, they'd get their names removed there, but I doubt that will
happen, and they will be scheduled in to the detriment of others who
could have been scheduled.

Scheduling means an email is sent asking the person to pick a day and
time, and when he doesn't reply, aftr enough time has passed, that could
enable them (the computer) to write someone else, but at the very least
that means the other person gets 2 days' less notice. The possible
problems are endless and I don't know how it's set up but it couldn't be
efficicient or fair to have aggressive people signing up for 2 or more
sources, and normal or passive people just signing up for one.

This all refers to where it's working "well".

crashed websites, phone banks that have people on hold for 4 hours,
then disconnect, old people in long lines at 3AM.

Terrible. Someone here praised Florida recently but that was the case
at least one place, probably more when Florida started.

Now the morons like Cuomo and deBlasio are whining, that there isn't
enough vaccine. Yet everyone knew that the ramp up would be slow

Yes, but they were told how much they were going to get, the offered
appointments based on that

and it was their job to successfully manage it.

Manage it, not less than it.

The ramp up has been
about what was forecast two months ago. What they should have
done was slowly work their way down in age and the feds should have
suggested it.

Now you're calling it a suggestion again, but at the top, you said it
was a mistake to leave it to the discretion of the states. And earlier
you said it was always at the discretion of the states. Anyhow, the
feds did suggest starting with old people and working the way down. They
just went down faster than was possible, but acc. to you the states
didn't have to do what was suggested.

It just shows the incompetence of govt, yet the libs want
the govt to do more.

ROTFLOL.

Next they are going to create a new, wonderful
green energy economy, while killing off the existing one and it's jobs,
eg XL pipeline.

In the past you would have blamed the right person, trump who either
doesn't care or actually rejoices in how many people he can kill without
going to jail, and the slugs he chose to run things, but since he's
gone, even though his mess remains, you've turned your sights on
liberals again.
