We purchased this unit used. It worked before we took it out of the home. Rode
it up and down. The mistake we made was that we did not remove the seat. It
was at the bottom when we took the rails apart and loaded it into the truck in
2 pieces. All I have read says that you remove the chair at the top of the
rail. We did not receive a hand crank. We have now hooked the power back up.
The chair and rail have power sitting on the floor upright on the brackets.
The chair of course is sitting at an angle because the rail isn't going up the
stairs. We cannot get the chair to move on the track...not sure why but it
won't move. The other question we have is can the seat be reversed to operate
on the other side of the stairs. It will work on the left side, but would be
best on the right side. Any HELP appreciated!

Have you talked to Stannah siena? You can probably buy a crank too.

telefono stannah
5085204051 I don't know what country this is, but you can track it
down. The webpage is in English but when I copied the phone number
"telefono" came along. That's Spanish and maybe some other languages.

Click on contact us and they have customer support, technical
assistence, find a dealer, and contact us. Even though you bought it
second hand, I would expect them to be eager to help.

with the same number, 5085204051, but nothing in Spanish. It says it's
toll free. I never heard of a toll-free 508 number, so I'd call with
something with free long distance.
